Pas realizimit te dy filmave me metrazh te gjate, motrat shqiptaro-amerikane Vilma dhe Greta Zenelaj, te cilat kane nisur karrieren e tyre ne fushen e realizimit te filmave ne Hollivud, prej disa ditesh gjenden ne qytetin e Shkodres, ku kane nisur xh-
irimet per nje film te ri, i cili, sic thone ato, ka ne qender nje histori shqiptare, e cila zhvillohet mes Shqiperise dhe Amerikes.
Filmi nis ne fillimet e viteve 90′ me ngjarjet e 2 Prillit ne Shkoder, ngjarje qe shenojne edhe rrezimin e diktatures komuniste ne Shqiperi dhe qe, sipas Vilmes, ende nuk jane trajtuar nga regjisoret shqiptare.
Eshte nje histori qe sigurisht duhet trajtuar sepse ka nje ndryshim shume te madh nga komunizmi ne demokraci. Pikerisht sepse nuk eshte trajtuar nga asnje regjisor shqiptar, une kisha shume deshire ta vija ne skene. Kjo, edhe pse jam shkodrane dhe 2 Prilli ishte si thelbi i prishjes se komunizmit. Filmi nuk eshte per 2 Prillin, por eshte vetem hapja e historise. Eshte me nje protagoniste qe, pas 2 Prillit, shkon ne Amerike dhe jeta e saj ne emigrim nuk eshte fushe me lule, por, si cdo vend tjeter, ka probleme, pavaresisht nese eshte ne komunizem apo ne demokraci, Sigurisht, asnje vend nuk eshte perfekt.Producentja e filmit, -
Greta, luan edhe rolin kryesor, ate te Helenes. Ajo thote se filmi i tyre i ri mbeshtetet ne nje ngjarje reale dhe te perjetuar prej vete atyre.
Eshte bazuar ne ngjarje qe i kemi para me syte tane si demonstrata e 2 Prillit. Une kam qene ne shkollen Jordan Misja dhe kam qene nje nga studentet qe eshte goditur me shkop gome ne kete demonstrate. Dhe, persa i perket pjeses tjeter ne Amerike, eshte pjese e pervojes tone qe e kemi pare vete; si e kemi menduar Ameriken dhe si eshte ne te vertet, perpjekjet per te marre dokumentet, opinionet e njerezve, sa e veshtire eshte te zesh nje vend pune, pra gjera te tilla qe i kemi perjetu vete.
Te suksesshme ne disa festivale nderkombetare, motrat Zenelaj thone se kane deshire te tregojne histori shqiptare permes gjuhes filmike. Une dhe Greta kemi shkruar historine e filmit. Sigurisht qe ne i shkruajme historite tona vete dhe kjo ngaqe kemi deshire per te treguar histori shqiptare. Mesazhi eshte qe me tregu se si ne shqiptaret jemi te pasur shpirterisht, por te varfer ekonomikisht. Por prape bota duhet ta dije se ne jemi njerez si gjithe te tjeret dhe qe kerkojme me te miren per jeten dhe te ardhmen tone. Nderkohe, ne duam te tregojme se si eshte jeta atje ne Amerike dhe si e imagjinojme ne shqiptaret ketu ne Shqiperi. Filmi i ri i motrave shqiptaro-amerikane Zenelaj po xhirohet fillimisht ne Shqiperi per te vazhduar me pas ne Micigan te Shteteve te Bashkuara te Amerikes.
